WE SAW A FLOOD

We are fu**ing up our existence on this planet. We completely fail the next generations. We all know it, even if a good portion of humankind wants to ignore it with eyes wide shut. We can be assured of one thing: the earth will be totally fine. She will adjust; things change all the time and always have; species come and go. Life will go on for many more millions of years and be beautiful – it just will be without humankind – even without the assh*les who think they can shoot their way out of it and bunker up. 

So we had a few thousand years, barely. BFD.

We are missing our chance to prevent the worst. We do wrong to those born after us. We have caused the climate to change rapidly, and we are dragging countless species with us into extinction. And we go shopping.

So sad, so short-sighted, so deeply unenlightened.
