This sculptural book is about children, particularly children in poverty and those of migrants and refugees, enduring suffering through no fault of their own.

The text of this piece is from a song by German singer and songwriter Bettina Wegener, “Kinder”. It is from quite a while ago, although the song never left me. There is also a version out there sung by Joan Baez.
